WHO IS A TEEN MINISTER, COACH, OR MENTOR? 2Tim 2:2, 4:2. Phil 4:6 (humility) A Teen minister, coach or mentor is an adult who is more experience, more mature and is willing to help a teenager or teenagers to be like him/her or better than him/her through Christ. An adult who is willing to teach, guide, guard and lead a teenage is a teen coach. I say willing because it’s not every adult that is ready to go through the process of leading these young ones. So Teen ministry is not about the adult but it’s about the Teenager. When we have the mind set, we act differently when we face challenges in Teen Ministry. Mentoring somebody is disciplining the person, being there for the person either formally or informally. Mentoring teenagers is demanding, we should know that we are not dealing with adults or children. They are special group of persons, we need to put in our resources in mentoring teenagers.
